[gui-talk] iphone question

I understand you can flick to move by character or word through editable
text, however, is there another mode where when I move my finger left to
right or ther other way that the letters are spoken and focus moves with
my finger?  Anybody get pinching to highlight text working also?  Seems
like without character/word tracking it would not be possible.
Note, I'm doing this on either Ipod or Ipad, Ipad is certainly easier to
move around on for me.
