[gui-talk] Microsoft security essentials

Steve:

I answered this question briefly from work. However, it seems to me that 
when I downloaded Security Essentials last December, I encountered much the 
same problem until I followed the instructions referred to in this thread. 
Don't remember specifically, though, as I generally put such things out of 
my mind once I succeed in gaining the end in view.
