You should be able to download books from the Bard site on an iPad without
much trouble, so long as you can use the browser on the device to navigate
to the Bard site and log in. I don't know if the iPad will have a USB
port, but assuming it does, you can unzip the downloaded file to a USB
thumb drive and it will play on your NLS player. There would be no need to
update firmware.
The above is somewhat theoretical. If someone actually gets an iPad it
would be interesting to hear how they do with it.

Hi list members ken here I see in the Kim komando news that the Ipad is
coing this weekend. with it's voice-over built in, we have another option
for Ebooks. Does anyone know if a person can use an Ipad on the library
download site and if so would I have to get the firmware upgrade for the NLS
player as if using a MAC to download talkingbooks?
