When you first insert the cartridge, press and hold the Play key until you 
hear "book shelf".  You can then use the fast forward and rewind keys to 
select the book you want to read.  When you have selected the one you want, 
press the Play key to begin playback.  If this doesn't work, consider 
subscribing to the BARD Talk list, whose experts may be able to be of more 
help.  To subscribe, send a blank email message to 
bardtalk-subscribe at yahoogroups.com and reply to the confirmation message.
