[gui-talk] Help wtih using a DVD Recorder/ VCR Combo

Hi All,


Any help from anyone who has a DVD Recorder VCR combo unit would greatly be 
appreciated.
I just purchased a Tosheba DVR 620 DVD Recorder VCR combo unit.
I tried recording a VHS movie from tape to DVD, and I don't think I recorded 
it correctly.
Firstly, I only gave the unit 1 hour and 30 minutes to record the DVD, and 
it turns out that the movie is longer then 1 hr 30 minutes.
I also just tried putting the DVD into my computer to see if DVD audio 
extractor could see it, but it couldn't find the DVD.
I also just tried exploring the DVD, and it says that there is 0 bytes used.

When you record from VHS to DVD, how do you know how long to set the dvd 
for.
The unit has different recording modes for DVD like
1 hr xp mode.
2 hr
4 hr 6 hr
 and 8 hr modes.
Also I would like to record some movies I taped off the TV onto DVD, can 
this be done also.
Also, I'm currently usikng single layer DVD-R's.
I could also get some dule layer DVD-r's if need be.
This will take some getting used to.
Any suggestions with this project would be great.
