This is the third computer with the same problem. It is not the computer.

So has GW asked you to send in your computer? I had a WE crashing my system
problem and sent them my computer and sure enough WE had a timing problem
with the Winlogon service. They made a change to WE and now it is working
great. So if they suggest sending in your computer do it if at all
possible.

Since I am currently using W/E 7.21, I can tell you for a fact that it is
not stable. I cannot go an hour without W/E freezing up. I have over 80
percent of a 500Gb hard drive unused and 4GB RAM so that is not the problem.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 3.63. I have cleared out all of
Outlook. I have uninstalled and reinstalled W/E. I even dropped from
Version 4 of Nod32 to Version Two. None of these measures have prevent W/e
locking up in all applications, necessitating that I manually turn off the
computer and reboot. And numerous calls and emails to GW Micro have
resulted in no solution.

Although it is certainly possible, it seems unlikely that NOD32 is causing
this since I have read on the Window-Eyes lists that they have found it to
work well with Window-Eyes. However, when a full scan of your hard drive is
in process, this can slow the response for other applications, including
screen readers, a lot. Also, if you don't have a lot of memory, like 500
megabytes, this can have an effect as well.
There is currently a public beta of Window-Eyes 7.2, and it might be worth
downloading and trying that. I believe some loss of speech issues have been
resolved in the public beta and it is stable.
Best regards,
