Tai,

they've given me not just that but simply a full refund after ai said I
wasn't ready to go through all that again right now. So I'll try again,
eventually. Just not immediately. Thank.

Hi. After my first negative experience with the downloader, I have never had
another problem. You could ask them to reactivate the album download so that
you can redownload it rather than getting a refund. When I explained that I
had never received the purchased album, the tech support folks were happy to
do this for me.
Thanks.'
Tai

Gerald,

I've just spent another long session on the phone with Amazon .mp3 download
tech support. The result being that I was given a refund and told that the
"hard core" tech support department would investigate whether or not there
might be some problem with the album files themselves. he said that the mp3
downloader sometimes doesn't work, and they have many problems to handle
with customers. he doesn't think it's only that I changed the download
destination in preferences.

I appreciate what you're saying but don't have the koyach to try that right
now. Sorry for the Yiddish. Strength. Spirit. I'm very sick some days. I
don't have the ability to concentrate as this requires right now. it's a
fine suggestion, of course, and I know I could have done that as the online
instructions suggest. but I don't think I did anything particularly wrong
when I installed the downloader and got that album. I just think something
went wrong. honest.

Well, I'll wait a couple of days and see if I get any helpful suggestions
from that hard core group, which isn't, as the guy on the phone explained to
me, in Delhi. Which is where I realize that his call center is located.
These other guys are probably up there in Seattle at Amazon.

Long, strange trip, this has been. All for a Lester Bowie jazz album that
I'll bet no one but me on this list knows about. Except for Albert, I'm
aware. But, hey, I know Beausoleil and Clifton Chenier, so what can I say.
I've just got eclectic musical taste.

Ack. End of rant.

Why don't you try downloading one of Amazon's free music samplewrs just to
go through the steps of downloading an MP3 album or song so you can
determine exactly where it's being saved. Then you should have no probelm
downloading the "missing" album again repeating the same stepps. At least
if you "lose" the free sampler, it's no big deal. You might even find a
free sampler you actually like. Just an idea.
