What thousands of dollars<grin>? The plan is $30 per month.
For two years, that would only come out to $720.
Every smart phone has this plan.

I have no information about accessibility of the Zune, but doubt that
Microsoft has paid much attention to this.  Our Electronics-talk listserv or
someone at the IBTC might have more information.

Remember that the cost of an Android or iPhone is not really the initial
purchase price, but the thousands of dollars of data plan that you pay for
over the ensuing two required years.  

I suggest you look at amazon.com to buy CD's.  I haven't tried it, but
suspect that it would be workable for making selections and purchases, if
you have some patience.
