[gui-talk] K1000 and the convention?

Hi Rick,

I hope so. The K1000 is a great product. For multiple page documents, it's
still the best option, especially with an ADF. I'm just amazed at where
access to printed material has gone. We've got not only bookshare, but
RFB&D, NLS and Audible, and I know there are other sources of material
available electronically. I never thought I'd see the day when we'd have
on-demand access to so much material.

Les

There is another issue. Without scanning, Bookshare would be much more
restricted as far as material they would get. Although books can be put
into electronic format more easily, not all publishers are onboard with
Bookshare. So, I think that scanning is alive and well for the foreseeable
future.
