[gui-talk] 2009 NFB Convention Agenda

Hi guys,

Well, no slight intended, but it's all moot now. Lloyd (it was Lloyd, wasn't
it?)sent me the agenda in the body of a fresh email and I read it through
with interest, and now that this question of how it all disappeared from the
post I got from this list is something I know that no one really
understands, so there's nothing for me to learn by asking further questions
or contemplating it anymore. I know my OE 6 is ordinary and popular, and I'm
not unaware of what my settings are, no matter which tab of the options menu
we're talking about. So it's all gotten a bit moot, as I say. Not that I
didn't try. At least other people wrote in and also asked where the heck the
actual agenda stuff was, and they were spared being told they were possibly
delusional or something. So I performed some kind of service by my inquiry,
after all!

Best regards,
Joel

I'm thinking that compressing the file would have helped to maintain its
structure better.

Joel,

I had the same experience with another mail program. We have seen this
before but don't know the exact combination
of circumstances that cause the problem. It is some combination of
attachments and the mail program being used and
perhaps even settings within that mail program. As you know, there are many
settings such as the type of encoding
used and such that most of us do not deal with. Unfortunately, if you
forward the message, one of two things can
happen. The added layer of forwarding can make the problem go away, or
another mailer and set of settings may treat
the message just fine. In other words, this is hard to isolate because the
same message can be handled differently by
different mailers. Since I use a program called PMMail which few people
use, I don't usually bother complaining about
problems that affect that program specifically, but I know this particular
problem happens occasionally with other
programs, too and I thought the list should know that you are not the only
one encountering this.
