In which case, I'd contact your local library as quickly as possible and
request them to resend this e-mail to you promptly. I reckon something got
jammed up. They might even be able to help you over the phone; not sure
about that though.

Sincerely,
The Constantly BAREFOOTED Ray

Jennifer,

Thanks very much for the link, but I hope this'll amuse you: I completed the
application form and got an error message saying that my application had
already been processed or received or something on May 4. Well, I thought
I'd done all this, although I couldn't have remembered how to get there, and
reading the URL you sent me provided no clues as to where it is on the NLS
main Web site. The link, I mean. If it's Read All About Our Digital Plan or
something, I went there again tonight but found nothing to tell me about
what I'm now reminded is known as the BARD system. So I don't know how I
managed to get that far, but obviously I did.

I looked in my email folders under NLS, and there's one message I've kept
there that says my application was received April 29 and my local library
would soon be sending me an email with instructions and my log-in info.

I never received such a thing. Could it possibly have become trapped in my
spam folder? That happens very seldom, legitimate email getting trapped.
I'll log into my email service and check, though. Hold on.

Nope. there's nothing from the NLS or the Braille Institute dated May 4 or
any other date, for that matter. but apparently the NLS BARD site thinks I'm
registered. That's nice. I wonder what my log-in information is. I'll have
to call Braille Monday.

Oh, well. You gotta love the mysteries, I guess.

There is a website to go to. Try this:

https://nlsbard.loc.gov/cgi-bin/nlsbardprod/index.cgi

There should be a link somewhere on the page for the application. I did this
just a few weeks ago.
