Oh, I found that cancel command myself on those occasions, but it didn't 
remove the print dialogue to reveal a printer-friendly text version of the 
page beneath the dialogue. I concluded that sites like this just don't have 
a printer-friendly version of their articles, in the usual sense. They think 
you'll appreciate getting  helped to print. As if I couldn't do that myself, 
if that's what I wanted to do. Scratching head.

Oh, well.

You know, I'll try that next time this kind of thing happens. Because I
always hit Escape or something. I never bothered to explore for a command I
could tab to. I just assumed I was trapped. Thanks.

just tab to cancel and hit space; you'll be in the article and the dialogue
will be dismissed.
