[gui-talk] Opening attachment in outlook.

Nope! I don't like outlook express.

I think Allen may have hit upon the answer. I'll check it out. I keep asking
my friends not to send me attachments as it causes me problems but some can
only send special material via an attachment.

Thanks to all of you for your help. I'll keep trying until this problem is
solved or I go to a different e-mail program. I would appreciate some
suggestions from blind users as to their choices. I used Eudora for years
but they altered their program so much I gave up on them.

Is it possible you are using outlook express which does ask you if you want
to save attachments instead of just opening them?

 Dear Cathyanne:

All I find in the menue is "save attachment". No "open attachment".

When I open the e-mail it simply says, "zipped and attached". That's all. I
only find "save attachment in the file menue. No "open attachment. Any
further suggestions? I must be doing something wrong.

I've gone to online tutorial but find no help.

When focused on the message in the message itself, open the file menu.
You'll find an attachment sub menu from which you can open or save the
attachments.

Sure hope someone out there is using outlook 2003. I've just started it and
am having a lot of grief.

Can you tell me how to open an attachment or zip file in incoming mail?

One problem is that while the e-mail says I have an attachment or zip file,
no further information is available in the e-mail. I'm using window eyes 6.1
but it doesn't tell me what the attachment link is.
