You could end many of your browsing problems by switching away from AOL.
It's a network on to itself and causes problems you can't directly solve.
You may have your media player set to save used links to files and changing
that setting might help.

Hi list members Ken here. I'm baffled the same thing I reported the other
day is happening again. This morning I was browsing a page and clicked an
audio link, and when I realized I couldn't listen to it because the
streaming
content was to fast for a dial up connection, I opted out. The file is to
big
to download without at least a 2 and a half hour wait and that is just at
the
start of the download process. Now every time I log on to AOL when the
voice says you've got mail it's going to the web and bringing up that link
and
windows media player is coming up as if I wanted to listen to that link. I

went to Internet explorer seven and disabled Tabs browsing, and cleared off

Internet browsing history including passwords, Cookies, forms, temporary
files
and the history and it's till coming up. What do I have to do to tell it
not
to bring windows media player and not to go to that link? In other words
How
do I tell this thing no means no Huh? It didn't do this before the first
time was this passed Sunday morning. is there something wrong inside here.
Oh
Yeah I tested de fragmenting again and I was right it just sits there
looking
stupid. it shows 0% complete after almost three hours. I think I've got
missing files in here.

I pledge to participate actively in the efforts of the national federation
of the blind to  achieve equality, opportunity, and security for the blind;
to
support the policies and programs of the federation; and abide by its
constitution.
