[gui-talk] talking voting machines

Oh, I'm sorry the elections worker saw your ballot. Here, in Pennsylvania,
the people who use paper ballots feed them into the machine themselves.

We've used talking voting machines about four times...maybe more, I can't
remember.

Yes, I used a talking voting machine for the first time last November. I
filled out my ballot with no assistance and no one in the booth with me --
except an aid who kept barging in to see if I needed help. (Actually I think
she just wanted to see who I was voting for... -- I solved that by turning
off the screen...)
She got her view of my ballow however when I left the booth and she fed it
into the counting machine. I saw her pause and stare at my ballot a few
moments before putting it in.)
But all in all, I was quite pleased at the accessibility in my new town --
we moved to Minnesota a year ago.
Minnesota is excellent when it comes to access.
Happy voting.

I just had my first experience with a talking voting machine. It was very
easy to use and worked out great. I remember the first time I voted after
losing my sight I had to go into the ballot booth with two judges one from
each party to mark my ballot for me. Over the past several years I could
use anyone I wished to mark my ballot. This new talking machine beats them
all.
