I often want to copy the link or to read the end to see how it fits in with
the home page so I can better remember it.

Well, I feel as if I remember Insert A from IE 6 I guess. I sympathize with
your feelings of inconvenience, but I guess it matters little enough to me
so that i forgot about the command Insert A ever having existed until you
mentioned it. I guess because if I go to the address bar, it's never to just

read it, the way I might press Insert T to hear the title line of a Web
page. I almost always go up there only if I want to move somewhere else,
either the regular way or as a new tab, or sometimes to copy and paste the
URL ir order to email it to someone (I usually use the IE Files menu command

for this, actually), or I don't know. Not just to read it out of curiosity
and then go on with my life. That's just me, of course. not arguing.

No you understood me right. I used to be able to press insert A and hear
the address without interrupting what I was doing and I can't now.

Well, albert, I don't get what the problem is. Alt D or F4 will get you into

the address bar to read or even edit the URL there, if you wish. I didn't
understand you to be saying those commands wouldn't take you there so you
could be in the address bar. I thought you said you knew how to use Alt D,
for instance, but you didn't like it because you found it difficult to get
out of the address gbar again once you'd gotten into it. Maybe I
misunderstood.you

If you feel stuck when you use Alt D or for that matter F4, just press
control F6 and it should take you back to the actual page. Try it.

It used to be that I could press insert A while in an open web page to get
its address and now I can't. I just hear, address bar. I'm using jaws.
Any thoughts? If I press alt D the address bar works and will provide the
address but it's too hard to get back to the open page from there.
