Here's what I do know.  I have 2007 student version.  It functiond as the 
2007 office suite.  I still have outlook which is not affected.  Word, 
Excel, Access, Powerpoint, all are 2007.  All of my previous files ar still 
as they were. I can still choose my previous office format to save my files. 
JAWS works fine with office 2007, but you need to know that your menus are 
not listed the same. I'll be glad to help in any way I can.  Wish you the 
best.  I still like the menu set up in previous versions better.  Best
