Bakspace will often work as a go back key like alt left arrow.

If we're talking about navigating between Web pages in a browser like 
Internet Explorer, I confess I don't have any idea what back spacing has to 
do with it. Do the people who say this actually mean the Go Back command 
made by pressing Alt Back Arrow? If so, that's different. But people are 
saying "back space."

I just know that backspacing doesn't seem to work a lot of the time for some
reason, where it used to.  Pam.
