GW Micro is proud to announce the release of GW Sense Navigation (SenseNav) version 1.3. GW Sense navigation is the GPS add-on for the Sense notetakers which include the Voice Sense, Braille Sense Plus, and Braille Sense Original. In order to take advantage of the substantial new features and enhancements in SenseNav 1.3, you must be using the latest firmware specific to your notetaker. Please note: If you don't already own a copy of SenseNav, it is available as a separate purchase. 

The following is a list of some of the new features and enhancements in version 1.3. For a complete list, please refer to the SenseNav Change Log file. 


  a.. Updated Sendero SDK 
  SenseNav is now using Sendero SDK version 2 which adds additional capabilities and functionality over version 1. Most notably is the ability to create long routes much faster than before. 

  b.. New and updated sounds 
  SenseNav has new and updated route sounds which contain certain beeps. These beeps are different for each type of sound so the user can tell what type of message is being displayed. 

  c.. Verbose prompts toggle 
  d.. SenseNav now allows you to toggle its prompts. This way you don't have to hear as much information once you are familiar with the way SenseNav displays information. 

  e.. Point Of Interest category announcement 
  SenseNav will now announce the category of a "Lookaround POI." This gives the user an idea of what kind of POI is nearby. For example, "Lookaround bonus: GW Micro." 

  f.. Reset to factory defaults 
  If you need to reset SenseNav back to its factory defaults, you can now do so by pressing O then R from the main display area. When this command is executed, all the SenseNav settings will revert to the state in which they were in when you first installed the Sense notetaker firmware. 

  g.. Remembering distance traveled and destination information 
  SenseNav will now remember the distance you have traveled as well as the last destination you have set. This way the information will be available when you restart SenseNav.
