[gui-talk] antivirus only or firewall and spam blocker

hello all,
  i am using nod 32 antivirus software. however, i was also told that if i wished to do so, i could use the eset security center, which i recently found out is accessible with windoweyes. is it better to use just the antivirus software and use one the windows firewall or spybot or other dedicated span blocking software? thanks.
