Josh,

Again, Sound Forge also has a demo, why don't you give it a try.  Many people think the noise reduction is a little better 
in Sound Forge than in Audition, but I am not so certain that it isn't a matter of the defaults that are set.  You can 
certainly do some things with Sound Forge without scripts, but from what I have read, the scripts do enhance several 
functions.  Whether Sound Forge 9 is supported by scripts yet I do not know.  I don't think a sound editor is something 
that you can choose based on the opinions of others, though.  You almost have to try them and see which one feels 
most natural to you.  If you have already purchased Audition 1.5, I don't know that it is worth purchasing something else 
unless you know that it does something that you can't currently do that you need to do.  For me, for example, Audition 2 
has a couple of features that make burning CD's easier, but it isn't worth the loss of other text to me.  Again, I have not 
tried Audition 3 and probably should.
