I always loved easy cd creator 6 but I can't use it now because I have vista. I couldn't even figure that out, though until a friend gave me a step-by-step on how to do it. Somebody else had emailed me instructions that were different, and I was able to actually combine the two. I have never been able to figure out nero for anything. I found that premier worked for me, but the disappointing thing was that it had a rip feature but not a copy feature. As of now, I don't have any way to burn or anything with this new computer. I haven't found out how to do it with windows and there is one thing that scares me. Somebody said it automatically burns as you select the music. It doesn't give you a chance to check it first and see how much you are putting on the disk. I can't see a way to take something off if it's too much for the disk. Pam.

To lazy people and people who don't want to learn much:

This program is not meant for all of you guys that have mastered window eyes with Nero, Roxio, xp, etc.

I know it's cheating, but if you haven't managed to master burning cd's with Nero, windows xp or Roxio, you need to check out a demo of this program. The demo gives you 30 free burns. It is Premier cd/dvd creator by Premier Assistive Technology. It doesn't even do but a fraction of what Nero or Roxio can do, but it does not require use of the mouse at all! It was written with screen reader users in mind.

I might be slow or something, but so many people on this list say how easy Nero is. A couple of years ago, I didn't seem to have any problems with Nero 6, but Nero 7 eludes me. I don't burn cd's enough to remember how to use it from one time to the next. (I have to fight with figuring it out every time.) Also, I am personally only interested in making regular audio cd's, data cd's and data dvd's. The Premier cd dvd creator is enough to do this. It came with the user manual, but I haven't read it yet -- and probably won't. I simply started hitting tab and looking around. It was made for "simple-minded people" like me who require options such as "make audio cd," "make data," etc. Just tab to it and press enter. If you go to the help menu, you can find out all of the keystrokes, but that's not really necessary. Just press the alt key and check out your menus. (The only ones you need to remember are F7 for select folder, F8 for select file and F6 for write options.)

Check out the demo -- it's free, (under the products link) at:

(reading made easy)

Forever lazy (except for when I'm at work)
Theresa

PS: If anyone is willing to give me fail-proof 1-2-3 a-b-c step-by-step instructions for Nero 7 (the kind of instructions designed for dummies), I would be more than happy to give it another chance!!!.
