IE6 is still widely in use, and will remain a viable platform for use
for quite a while.
IE7 still has some security proving to do, but in that respect so does
IE6!
I wouldn't be afraid of IE7 for accessibility reasons however. I've
been using it on Vista for quite a while now, since January, and its
doing fine--no great challenges other than a few minor just getting used
to things for the wider abilities of IE7.
I would note that you need the latest copies of your screen reader
however, old ones won't do as well.
