In fact Windows Mesenger *is invoked (I *think by Outlook, *not by me).
But what makes you say that I'm receiving an *urgent message?
I was experimentally using *all the keyboard characters in combination
with the Windows Key to find what they would do.

Based on the very little you are telling us, I'd guess that you are
using either MSN or Windows Live messenger and you're receiving an
urgent conversation which requires your attention. Using Windows key
plus 1 through 5 will not place your focus on this conversation because
you need to actively assign these keys before they will work. The way
to access this conversation is to press Windows key plus 0.
Sincerely yours,
The Constantly Barefooted,
Ray
