[gui-talk] Need help contacting LG-VX phones list owner

Hi Don,

If you reread my original message yet again, you'll see that I first tried 
to subscribe using the subscribe address, just as you suggest. as I said, I 
got the expected request for confirmation by reply, and sent my reply. But 
then I received no welcome message. Nothing. Nada.

So then, as I said, I tried to email the owner (who used to be a man named 
Lynn, very nice and helpful person) by using the owner address as you 
describe below. And, as I said, what this got me was a reply from the Yahoo 
server saying "no such group."

This is what I explained in my original post to the list. I tried both,and 
those were the results.

I actually signed up using that last week.  I assumed that it was an older 
address that you had used.

I appreciate your courteous response as always!

You might then try substituting the word owner for subscribe.  That 
generally works in that instance.  Most people on the group I believe don't 
have additional info.

hello Don,

If you reread my message, I think you'll see that I said that is one of the
things I've done. I even said I received the usual automatic request for a
confirmation reply. Remember? Then I said that, as has always happened to me
with Yahoo groups and mailing lists, nothing came to me after I sent that
reply.

And then I emailed the address of the list owner, and that came back saying
no such yahoo group.

hi,

a couple of years ago,I was subscribed to this list that ushered me into
learning about this line of reasonably accessible cell phones and got me
started as I signed up with Verizon.

Now my contract's nearing its end, and I'd like to get back onto that list
and get updated about new phone models and any other helpful information I
might learn.

But I can no longer reach the owner, nor subscribe by email. My email
replies say there isn't any such group. Well, Yahoo sends a confirm request
as usual, but when I send the reply, as I should, no welcome message comes
back. it's when I tried emailing the owner that Yahoo saw fit to tell me the
news.

Maybe there's another list now, at a different address but still geared to
this line of cell phones? Does anyone know?
