[gui-talk] Accessibility of Windows Mail?

Okay. So, my next question is this. Will the final release of Windows Mail
come to Windows XP users via the Microsoft updates feature or do we Outlook
Express users even have to concern ourselves with Windows Mail at all? And
if not, wence comes this talk of Outlook Express going away that I'm
hearing? FACTS, SOMEBODY, PLEASE!!!!!
Sincerely yours,
The Constantly Barefooted,
Ray

I haven't been keeping up with GUI-Talk, my apologies. Here's the quick
summary:
Outlook Express: Shipped with Windows 98 through Windows XP,
originally known as Internet Mail and News. Often confused with Microsoft
Outlook.
Windows Mail: New version of Outlook Express, only available with Windows
Vista. Looks and works just like Outlook Express.
Windows Live Mail: Is a beta product that looks and acts like Windows
Mail and Outlook Express, but supports web-based e-mail like Windows Live
Hotmail. Available here:

Can you please elaborate?
What exactly will the differences be?

Presently, you're correct but this will all change and the difference will
have to do with whether you access it on the web or on your desk top.

I understand that "Windows Live Mail" is different from "Windows Mail".

What I do not understand is this. IF you read my list of complaints
about
Windows Live Mail beta, (and I'm quite sure you have) I'd sure like to
know
how the final release of Windows Mail is going to be different from
what I
tested. It seemed to me Windows Live Mail beta was tied very heavily
to
Windows Live Messenger. See my list of complaints for the other
details.
Someone else here says that this is going to be hitting us perhaps
next week
or so. If any of you know where I can get more details about the
final
release of Windows Mail, I'd sure love to know. Thanks.
Sincerely yours,
and very skeptical about the new Windows Mail client,

Windows live mail is different than windows mail.
Windows mail is going to be replacing Outlook Express. Live mail
simply is
replacing the hotmail reader.

What's happening is that Windows Live Mail is going to be able to
access Hot
Mail through the program like you can from the desk top with O.E.
currently, that can't be done. Presently, you can download I.E. 7
without
loosing O.E. However, it's thought that, soon, you will loose O.E. in
favor
of Windows Live Mail when you update to I.E. 7. Currently Vista users
have
no choice but to use Windows Live Mail because it's installed by
default
along with I.E. 7. Therefore it's recommended to download I.E. 7 now
before
you have to take Windows Mail unless you don't care which E-mail
client you
use. And so it goes."

Hello,
Am I missing something here? I try to keep up on things as much as
possible
but have not heard anything about this. Is OE going away? Can
someone
send a link so I can read more about this please. Thanks,
