Can you install and uninstall programs on your computer and otherwise
manipulate files? IF so, you are already logged on as the system
administrator; or so I would guess. Can't explain why you're having the
port issue though.

Hi all,
I'm wondering if I need to log on as an administrator in order to change
ports on my computer. I found the nokia connection manager, and when I click
on advanced, I find the box that allows me to assign the port number. But
even though I highlight the port number, no matter which one, and click
okay, it is not there when I go back in. so I'm thinking that I have to log
on as an administrator. I'm the only person that uses this computer.
