Have you tried disregarding the tones and going directly to pc suite and
trying to find your phone?

I use a bluetooth connection and for a while I couldn't get my computer to
tell me the phone was connected but if I went to pc suite and used the get
connected button it worked fine.

Hi all,
I'm using windows xp professional. I've got a new nokia e 50 phone and I've
installed pc suite for that phone. I've tried to connect the phone to my
computer using the cable which is a usb connection. Sometimes, I can hear
the sound that windows makes when a device is being plugged in the usb port
but it immediately makes the disconnect noise also, and windows does not see
the phone.
This is a fairly new computer, about 15 months old, and so the usb port I
believe are the newer ones. The driver for the phone is suppose to be in the
pc suite software.
Does anyone have any ideas on what's going on. My pc suite program for nokia
6600 has been sucessfully uninstalled. I thought that was the problem. Not
so. Help would be appreciated.
