XP Media Center does work mostly like normal windows but has add-ons,
like the "media center" program.  The media center program is barely
accessible, but once configured with your TV sat or cable box can let
you browse TV listings and schedule recordings--like a TIVO.  The set up
is strange and you might want some assistance during setup--it took me a
while to figure it out.
