Laura,
I don't know exactly what you are looking for, but there are a couple more things to try. First, Selecting the entire table,
copying to clipboard, and then pasting it into a document in NotePad might work for you. Word has a number of
"select" options on the table pulldown that would select the entire table, a row, or a column, so you should be able to
get the text out in whatever order you like.
Another approach is to place your cursor in the table, and then use the "convert" option on the table pulldown and
choose the table to text option. This actually takes the text that is in the table and removes the table but leaves the
text. There are several options such as replacing the table with tabs, but I think there is one that basically decolumnizes
as well but am not sure. Don't save the document since this will change it unless you save it to another name or you
don't care. If you have questions, let me know but something here should work and you should not have to retype it.
Saving the entire document as a text file and then finding the text you want might also work.
What works best depends a lot on the data and how the table is formatted, whether you need to read by columns or by
rows.
