That means they've moved the date quite a bit forward from Larry was on Main
Menu a couple of months ago. They stated it would be released toward the
end of July then. I'm a little surprised they aren't forecasting more
product improvements as an incentive to get us to upgrade.

Hi, guys. In the interview on bookport two that I heard, there were really
no new features other than USB two. I wasn't sure if I even wanted to buy
one as I was so disappointed about the lack of anything new. There was a
rechargeable battery and a built in speaker, as well as a smaller size, but
nothing really new as far as the software was concerned. I guess this will
follow later.
I had hoped they would move away from doubletalk, but it was still there.
Regarding book wizard, I wrote to Larry asking him why the Microsoft speech
installed didn't work and was told that they didn't install any voices with
book wizard. I learned from Pamela Rader that they indeed did install at
least Microsoft mike and Mary, if I remember. But those two voices don't
work under vista.
AT ACB, I also asked about when the new bookport would be released and was
told some time after the first of the year.

Oh well, just wondering, especially in view of the new victor product from
humanware. And once they get book port 2 out, maybe they can fix book
wizard reader so it will work with Vista. I've been trying to get them to
fix this for a couple of months now, or at least suggest what I might do to
get it to work in the meantime.
