[gui-talk] Acrobat 8 and Adobe Digital Editions

Hello,

My library makes certain PDF versions of books available for download.
Earlier I accessed these directly in Acrobat with the digital bookshelf
option and read the files with success.

However since updating to Acrobat 8, I've been prompted to install what
seems to be a separate application called Adobe Digital Editions.  So far
I've not been able to get anything from this program to read with several
screen readers.

Does anyone have experience with this and have any clues on how to interact
with the application.  The books themselves are still in PDF but I can no
longer access them because no matter what I seem to do they want to open in
this Digital Editions app and when I uninstall I'm prompted to reinstal and
the cycle continues.
