[gui-talk] For those who use Kurzweil 1000, you've sure got a few things to complain about.

As a JAWS user, nothing makes me happier than to see users of competing products complaining about the products they're using. It simply validates the fact that I made the right decision when I invested in JAWS.
But that only applies to legitimate complaints. The one I'm seeing in this thread certainly does not apply. It merely appears to be nothing more than a shameful case of tantrum throwing.
Every product is different. If they weren't, what would be the point in having two or more identical products on the market? Not only that, but there would certainly be copyright infringements all over the place.
But since all products are different, even though they're supposed to do similar things, one can expect that the commands and command structure of the various competing products to be different as well.
If one is using Kurzweil, but prefers the way Omnipage works, then the problem isn't with the product, it's with the user.
Sane people don't buy Volkswagens, and then lament that they aren't BMWs.

Yes, you're probably right but other OCR software I use such as
Omnipage does things in a more user friendly way. For example, if you
change the settings then you can come back to them, Omnipage
automatically saves them when you quit the programme but Kurzweil
cannot even do that so yes, I stand by my statement that the
developers of this software ought to be ashamed of themselves, those
who have purchased the software will appreciate just how much money
it costs so that in mind, surely a simple thing like the auto loading
of the last settings used or the saving of settings with a document
wouldn't be too much to ask for would it? Cut out all the gimics and
give us a nice, user-friendly, accurate and stable piece of software
to use.
