I have actually had my hands on this device and it was pretty cool. For me,
my phone actually offers all the features that I need using Talks and a
couple of add on programs.

Unless someone can give me a great reason to upgrade, my Nokia N70
mobile phone does probably much of what the Parrot does plus more,
even allot of what the Bookport does in the form of playing MP3 and
other audio files, I'm told that Daisy software to play Daisy files
is or will be available for smart phones.

Now, there's another mobile PDA type thing reviewed at http://
www.blindcooltech.com which I'm going to have a look at in a few
minutes.

But they're just players, aren't they?

For many, I believe either the Book Port or Book Courier would work best
for the money.

|I first want to say thanks for these reviews of this device. Since
|this device doesn't seem to be as accessible as first stated, does
|anybody have any recommendations for a device? I have to recommend
|equipment for students. Since the Parrot is out of production at the
|time, I need a substitute device. I would appreciate your
suggestions.
|
| Thanks!
