[gui-talk] Olympus recorders

Yes, i like thought it may have been the answer until I heard demos
on Mike's page, at http://www.blindcooltech etc and spoke to a few
people who are using these things, what I have now in the form of an
Iriver H340 and other equipment which can be pocketed perform better
for my needs than the Olympus would but I sincerely hope that
development will continue and who knows! we may get a better product
but hiss in a digital recorder is just not on and there is no excuse
for that at all.

YOu know,

When I first heard about these new recorders they really sounded
great and maybe a perfect replacement for the Book Courier. But,
at the same time I had the feeling that it was too good to be true,
and apparently that's the way it is.

Maybe it's okay for someone who just wants a digital recorder, but
if you're serious about such things as using it for a player as
well, it just isn't worth it in it's current state.

It also goes to show that accessability is in the eyes of the
accesser.
