Interesting, out here 2.4Ghz phoens transmit on exactly the same band
as do some cordless phones and these phones usually use "spread
spectrum" technology, meaning that the frequency of transmission is
always changing.
The solution is (in Australia at least) to buy a DECD (Digitally
Enhanced Cordless Telephone) standard phone which transmits on the
900MHZ band I think. Yet again, there are other cordless phones which
transmit on the 5.8GHZ band and they're hearing aid compatible so I
myself am considering one of these but your point about interference
with Wi-Fi networks is well noted as I have a 2.4GHZ phone here and
(when I've been uploading or downloading at full capacity over my
network of multiple computers and when I've been on the phone) I have
noticed degradation of voice quality.

they are all now at 2.4 so we could make sure that we wouldn't cause
problems with the router we were going to purchase.

Has anyone other than me experienced the following problem?
When I get on my phone wich is cordless, I lose my
connection. As soon as I hang up within a few seconds I'm
back online. Has anyone found any way around this problem?
Most of the time it's not a big deal, but I was trying to
give some information to someone who was on the phone and I
had to check something else and I had to hang up with them in
order to get access to the internet to get the information.
