[gui-talk] WordPress, again.

Hi all,

I think I asked some time ago whether anyone was familiar with the WordPress
blogging, umm, do you call it an "engine? You know, the program. Whatever.

Well, now I'm trying to work with it, but even though I've read the
documentation about every topic I've thought would be pertinent as a newbie,
the functions I'm trying to use turn out, with Jaws, to be not half as
simple and self-explanatory as the documentation reassures you it will be. I
can tell that this is because everything must be laid out in a way that does
make it pretty intuitive, but as Jaws reveals it to me, it's pretty much a
jumble. Some buttons are labeled in ways that I can't figure out, there are
boxes and fields and control buttons of all sorts, not to mention apparent
screens full of proprietary word processing or formatting codes or
something that, again, if I could see all this, I could make perfect sense
of.

Anyway, it's frustrating, though I know if I had the right kind of
instructions, I could learn the basics of posting the way I need to within
the design of what's already set up, and I could relabel many controls and
links once I understood what they were and how they correlated with what I'd
read in the documentation, and so forth.

Does anyone know anything about WordPress, then? Or know where I could find
anyone who does? I have a sighted friend who can help me with this, but I am
trying to learn to perform some functions by myself, if at all possible, so
that I don't have to beseech him for help all the time.

Thanks very much.
