[gui-talk] Accessibility of Oracle Software and Applications

Greetings and felicitations:

I am interested in hearing from anyone who has direct experience with Oracle
software and its ability to be used with nonvisual access technology for the
blind such as screen readers and screen enlargement programs. There is a
perception that seems to be widely held that today, anything with the word
"Oracle" on it is, by definition, not accessible to the blind. Inasmuch as
I have had no direct experience with Oracle systems or software, I am
attempting to learn the truth of the matter inasmuch as I have an
opportunity to engage in discussions with representatives of the Oracle
Corporation.

Any and all information would be gratefully appreciated.

Yours sincerely,

Curtis Chong, President
National Federation of the Blind in Computer Science
