[gui-talk] new computer purchase

Cindy,

Just to check, I went to the FS site and found the page of the Jaws section
that's supposed to explain system requirements. This is astonishing, that
they don't give any specific numbers for what sort of processor and how much
RAM is recommended at minimum. I mean, like, hey, how much trouble would it
be to say "a PPentium class processor and a minimum of 128 Mb of RAM. I'm
just guessing, but I'll bet that's what it would say (although I wouldn't
advise anyone to try running as little as 128 Mb RAM for this, but, as they
say, minimum).

The only factor for which they do supply anything specific is to say how
much hard drive space is needed to accommodate Jaws and its functions.

That is so odd.

THanks for the info. I wanted to know minimum so I could at least guess at
what I would actually want. JAWS does NOT list and numbers at all for
running their system so that is why I was asking here.
