Yes to the first two questions.  As for the third, I have no way of knowing. 
I mean about a check.  I suspect so, though. There are two sliding guides, 
one for each side, and if you remove your paper, you can, as I did, narrow 
them to fit around a business size No. 10 envelope.  But I didn't try to 
push the guides any closer together than that.

Does that printer have a single sheet slot with the ability to handle 
envelopes?  If so, can the guides be set as narrow as
a regular personal check?
