[gui-talk] (no subject)

Sherry,
I use Outlook Express and I know about that. But, as I said earlier, and I
think if you reconsider you'll see what I meant, I doubt that the NFB mail
server doesn't convert everything that goes through it into plain text, so
that if I had a sighted friend over, they wouldn't see the design, either.
I think Jaws just picks up a label from whatever coding is left after the
design has disappeared on its way to our inboxes. I couldn't have inferred
that for myself. See what I mean? I don't think Jaws is reading an alt
text label with graphics around it. I think it's only reading the label,
which is appearing simply as a plain text word in the message body, and a
sighted person would see nothing but that also, in the upper left of the
message area. Just the word "nature." I liked the absurdity of it, once I
figured it out. that's all.

Well, enough. Hope all's well with you.

In Outlook Express, if you want to, you can choose various types of
stationary. This will show up as a nice picture or border around your e-mail
and Jaws tells you what it is.

Hi,

Can you explain what you mean when you say that nature is your stationary?
What sort of email program are you using, and what does this mean? I'm
curious to know how this sort of thing works, and why it puts its name in
your messages like that.

thanks a lot.
