Just re-start the format process, but this time DO NOT INTERRUPT IT. It
should start working just fine after the format is complete. If you can't
see the drive at all from Explorer, then you'll have to access it through
Administrative Tools.

Subject: [gui-talk] Formatting hard drive on external enclosure
Hello all,
I have here a 180 gig hard drive connected to my PC via external hard drive
enclosure.
I am using Windows XP, Home Edition, Jaws 7.0, and I am not sure the brand
of the drive right now.
Here's the cituation:
I know there is power going to the drive, and I also know that the data
cable is properly connected.
I hear the drive spinning, and Windows indicates a new device has been
connected when I flip on the switch to the enclosure.
The first time I connected the drive, I could see it listed in Windows
Explorer. At that point, I started the formatting process, with some
guidance from a friend.
If memory serves me, I interrupted the formatting process, and now the drive
does not show up when I bring up Win Explorer, or my computer.
I am afraid I burned this drive by interrupting formatting, and that it is
now useless.
If any one has any feedback, I do thank you in advance.
Any help would be appreciated.
