If you go either to www.screenlessphone.com or www.afb.org you can find
product information or a review of a few accessible phones in the case of
the last URL.

Subject: [gui-talk] acessable cell phone for sprint or verizon wireless

| Hello everyone,
| My L-G 4500 is coming to a end, i went to the verizon store to check on
| another acessable phone however they are not very acessable to the blind.
| The raised dots on the send and hang up button is no longer there. The
| buttons are very flat and even the dot on the 5 key is hard to feel. Some
| phones are talking a little however the buttons are hard to feel. Flat
| panels keyboards are in at this time and when your hands are cold after
| waiting for public transportation the buttons will be almost inpossible to
| feel. Sprint may have some different types of phones then verizon however
| if anyone knows of any phones that are acessable even without speech just
as
| long as the buttons are raised and the send and hang up keys has a good
size
| dot please let me know.
| sprint has some very good plans with more minutes then verizon and if you
go
| over your minutes it will only cost $5.00 for 30 minutes where verizon
| charges 45 cents per minutes. sprint has 7a m to 7 p m peak time and
| verizon has 6 a m to 9 p m peak time.
| if anyone can assist me in a phone that is acessable for the blind with or
| without speech please share it with me.
| thanks for any information you can provide to me on a good acessable
phone.
