[gui-talk] Success! (was avoiding IE 7 for the time being)

Okay.  thanks to you guys' reassurance, I put my misgivings aside and 
downloaded all the critical updates, and then the IE7 dialogue came up as 
you said it would, and I clicked on tell me later, and although the message 
at the end of the process sounded unduly ominous because it wasn't specific, 
but just said "updates have not been successfully installed," which in 
English means "none of the updates," no matter what they *think* they're 
saying,  though if you know computer culture shorthand you figure out that 
it means "one or more updates have not been installed, which may be as you 
wishd, but check the list to be sure you don't have to redo this procedure" 
and then I rebooted and all is well.
and now, on the JFW list, someone just said they found Jaws 8.0 newly posted 
for download on the Freedom Scientific site.  But I'm gonna wait and see all 
the complaints that start coming up on my mailing lists, before I go ahead 
and get it.  Or maybe I'll just wait to get the CD in the mail.  People get 
so excited about a new release or an update.  Oh, well.  Who knows.
