Hi Denise and list.
I looked a little further into this handytech easyEasyBraille display and it appears that there are 3 models.
It appears that they have a series of drivers which can be installed in adition to the ones which are found in a screen reader such as jaws by default.
You can go to the handytech www site to read more.
www.handytech.de
Note, the english site is a little hard to find.
Here's a direct link.
http://www.handytech.de/en/normal/welcome/introduction/index.html?no_cache=
Basically, you can go to the web site and download, the manual, the communications program to use the display as a mini notetaker, the latest firmware,
and the jaws driver.
For example, for the 40 character model, see.
http://www.handytech.de/en/normal/service/downloads/ht-software/braille-star-40/index.html
Of course, there's a similar link for the 27 and 80 character models respectively which you can find if you just go to the english site (url given above) and follow the links.
Note, the 27 character model is called the Braille Wave.
Good luck and hth.
