Hi Joel, Denise, and anyone else following this discussion.
Here's the answer to your question.
The original versions of CDEX were actually called CD Extractor if memory serves correctly, I'm thinking this was around 1998 or 1999, I just remember that it while I was in university at the time and that's when I started using the program.
Also, I checked out the web site you sent and found that 1 that you had to purchase the other program, 2 it had way more features than Denise needed, and 3 based upon what I saw on the web site I would not recommend the program you suggested for simple conversion of audio tracks to mp3 format.
The reason I would not recommend it, number 3 above is simply because while they will sell their program to English-speaking users it is evident that their customer support and customer service portal is only available in a foreign language, either Finnish or Sweedish.
