[gui-talk] FTP programs

When you "download a program" your computer may use the FTP protocol or the http protocol. This is controlled by the site originating the download. In general, ftp is more reliable, but many sites use http because it is easy.
Now, there are specific sites, set up where you can browse, download, and/or upload files using FTP porotocol, which has been around for a long time. You will need a client for this, although Internet Explorer will also handle it.
