If you aren't too worried about security, why not just use internet explorer
as follows:
Inside IE open an ftp URL as follows:
ftp://mylogname:passwd@ftp.domain.com:portnum/directory
where the login info and @ are optional, as is the directory and port
number.
Of course, if you don't supply login info, anonymous is assumed.
Now, if your directory is writable, you can transfer files to and from the
site by copying and pasting as if in windows explorer. The only thing I
think is not possible -- at least I don't know how to do it -- is to change
file permissions on the site, and/or transfer mode (such as binary/ascii).
Anyway, for most other purposes, this works fine for me...

Subject: [gui-talk] FTP programs
Anyone know of a good, simple, FTP program I can get to upload pages to my
website? I have FTP Explorer, but after only one successful connection, I've
gotten errors from Windows each time I tried to connect with it. Thankfully,
its still in demo mode so I can uninstall it with no worries.
Many thanks,
Wayne Merritt
