Hi Anne;
Not knowing how your desktop works, it is difficult to say however, if you
want to use outlook express you need to run outlook express and then do the
modifications that JAWS uses in order for you to use it without too much
inaccessibility.
I just purchased a new Dell laptop with Windows XP home and it works just
fine.
