FOR RELEASE:
OcuSource.com Announces Launch of Recordings of
Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA) Conference
Placentia, CA, May 5, 2006 - The Assistive
Technology Industry Association (ATIA) concluded
a highly successful seventh annual Conference &
Exhibition on January 21st, 2006. With over 1500
attendees, the conference provided nearly 300
presentations by industry experts on assistive
technology for hearing, mobility, vision, speech and learning disabilities.
ATIA and OcuSource.com recently announced that
the two groups have joined forces to produce a
sampling of over 150 hours of conference
presentations from ATIAs conference. OcuSource
will make the recordings available to consumers
and professionals via the companys virtual
conferencing system at www.letsgoexpo.com or via ATIAs website, www.atia.org .
The ATIA Online Conference will provide free
access to dozens of presentations, and complete
access to all recordings will be available for a
fee of $49.00. Visitors may also subscribe to free audio and video podcasts.
ATIA Executive Director David Dikter noted, ATIA
has a primary focus on providing a broad range of
professional development opportunities and timely
information on the latest assistive technologies
available. This launch of our online conference
proceedings represents our newest effort to
ensure that anyone with an interest in AT have access to quality information.
OcuSources goal is to help ATIA make as many of
the conferences valuable presentations
available, either to those who could not attend
or to those who attended the conference and want
the materials for use in their daily lives,
added Dr. Lou Lipschultz, President and founder
of OcuSource.com. We hope to obtain a deeper
understanding of the needs of the AT
professionals as well as consumers who are
seeking information on assistive technology. ATIA
has a mission to educate both of these groups,
and our LetsGoExpo conference system is an ideal
solution to assist in this mission, confirmed Lipschultz.
